Mr. Collins graduated with honors and Phi Beta
Kappa from the University of California,
Berkeley in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Business
Administration. After working six years as a CPA
with large public accounting firms and as
Controller for a real estate development
company, Mr. Collins obtained his law degree in
1995 from Boalt Hall School of Law, University
of California, Berkeley. Upon graduating, Mr.
Collins joined the Small Business & High Net
Worth section of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, &
Feld, LLP, one of the world’s 15 biggest law
firms, working with some of the nation’s
outstanding lawyers to negotiate and draft a
broad range of sophisticated partnership and
corporate documents and other business
agreements. Additionally, he helped create
estate plans and formulate asset protection
strategies that included trusts, wills, family
limited partnerships, and other legal entities
for high-net-worth individuals and their
businesses. After joining the business law
section of Skjerven Morrill MacPherson LLP in
San Francisco, Mr. Collins negotiated the terms
of and drafted numerous real estate and business
agreements for individuals and companies,
ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 100
companies. Mr. Collins now helps individuals and
businesses solve their real estate, business and
corporate law, asset protection, and estate
planning issues. |
